IndiaWorld is a book-length photo essay, exploring the people and culture of the global Indian diaspora -- the 25 million persons of Indian origin living outside India. In photographs taken over a period of nine years in eleven countries, Preston Merchant presents an intimate and humane portrait of the lives of Indians living in Africa, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, South Pacific, Britain, the Caribbean, and North America.
